Overview
In both the A Level and IB classes focus will be given to strengthening skills learned in previous theatre/drama classes or workshops. The program is not just for students that wish to continue further studies in the performing arts. It also for those wishing to become well-rounded students looking to have a meaningful learning experience that will allow them to excel in multiple fields that demand collaboration, public speaking and creative skills in the future. Recent Drama Alumni have gained places in at Drama School and studied Drama, Law, English Literate, Music Production, Product Design, History and Politics university.
Research on historical/cultural/socio-political theatre, devising and realizing original works are major focuses for 6th Form Study.
Methods used in class
Participation, Performance, Projects, Research, Class Lecture, and Reflection. Collaborative Theatre Workshops across A Level and IB classes.
Recent practitioner visits have included Frantic Assembly, The Wardrobe Ensemble, Annie Sutton, Squire Stage Combat Company and professional actors working in the Royal Court.
