iGCSE Biology will help you understand the biological world in which you live and take an informed interest in Science and scientific developments. The syllabus includes the basic principles and concepts that are fundamental to the subject, some current applications of Biology, and a strong emphasis on practical skills.
You will develop an understanding of the scientific skills that are essential for you to continue learning Biology at A Level or IB. iGCSE is best studied in combination with Chemistry and Physics as you will study core skills such as the scientific method, problem solving and effective communication using scientific vocabulary.
The Biology curriculum includes a diverse range of topics including; cells, genetics, human biology, ecology and microbiology. You will be assessed in two papers, titled Paper 1B and Paper 2B.
